Ione Homecoming weekend will also feature the 150th Ione Homecoming Rodeo Show, bringing two days of rodeo action to Howard Park. Friday’s Kids Corral includes leadline, mutton bustin’, peewee goat roping, and goat ribbon pulling, while Saturday features breakaway roping, goat roping, the Andy Bonham Memorial Team Roping, ranch bronc, and bull riding.
Friday’s leadline event begins at 5 PM, with check-in starting at 3 PM. On Saturday, breakaway roping begins at 8 AM with check-in at 7 AM, the Andy Bonham Memorial Team Roping begins at 12 PM with registration starting at 8 AM, goat roping begins at 3 PM with registration starting at 11 AM, and both ranch bronc and bull riding begin at 6 PM with check-in starting at 12 PM. The Andy Bonham Memorial Team Roping is for Amador and Calaveras locals only.
