DESCRIPTION:Join the community in downtown Sutter Creek for a beautiful and historic Christmas tradition. This one-night contemporary version of Las Posadas follows Joseph and Mary as they journey through town in search of shelter. \n\n\n\nThe candlelight procession begins at Immaculate Conception Church and winds down Spanish Street before continuing along Main Street\, concluding at the stable in front of the historic Methodist Church. Along the way\, participants sing familiar Christmas carols and hear the narration of this timeless story. \n\n\n\nChildren are invited to dress as shepherds\, angels\, or animals (stuffed animals welcome). Candles and song booklets will be available at the starting point. \n\n\n\nAfter the walk\, enjoy cookies and hot beverages in the Methodist Church’s social hall. Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes for this unique and heartfelt holiday experience in the heart of Gold Country.

DESCRIPTION:The American Association of University Women – Amador (CA) Branch present their 48th Annual AAUW Home Tour.  Come celebrate spring in Sutter Creek as you tour five historical homes in the city.  In addition\, local historic sites such as the Knight Foundry will be open on Tour Day. \n\n\n\nFollowing the Tour\, the Creekside Methodist Church will host the The Home Tour.  Enjoy coffee\, tea or a cold drink while you enjoy a selection of homemade cookies.  Gift baskets created by AAUW members and other community businesses will be available for purchase.  All proceeds will go to benefit AAUW scholarship fund-raising efforts. \n\n\n\nAAUW Home Tour Tickets are available for $40 in advanced or $45 on the day of the Tour. Day 2 will be on December 15th and will cover along Shake Ridge Road to Sutter Crest\, the neighborhoods around Amador High\, and Amador City.  On the final night of Santa’s Visit\, December 16th\, Santa will visit the neighborhoods around downtown Sutter Creek.
