On Saturday\, breakaway roping begins at 8 AM with check-in at 7 AM\, the Andy Bonham Memorial Team Roping begins at 12 PM with registration starting at 8 AM\, goat roping begins at 3 PM with registration starting at 11 AM\, and both ranch bronc and bull riding begin at 6 PM with check-in starting at 12 PM. The Andy Bonham Memorial Team Roping is for Amador and Calaveras locals only. \n\n\n\nThe 150th Ione Homecoming Rodeo Show takes place Friday and Saturday\, May 8 and 9\, 2026\, at the Ed Hughes Memorial Arena in Howard Park\, Ione\, CA. DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in becoming a better horseperson or maybe you just love horses and would love to see some of the finest in action\, be sure to visit Gold Country Horse Day\, Saturday October 22\, 2022 in Ione.  This second annual Gold Country Horse Day will feature top clinicians teaching you how to better communicate\, handle\, and ride your horse.  Clinicians featured will be Susan Wirgler from Wirglers Horse/Human Partnership\, JP Dyal from JP Dyal Horsemanship\, and Martina Bone from Martina Bone Balanced Riding.  There will also be a drill team demonstration from the California Cowgirls Drill Team and a vendors galore\, including Buckaroo Leather\, for gifts for that special cowgirl or cowboy. \nTickets for Gold Country Horse Day are $10 and can be purchased from the Buckaroo Leather ticketing page or at the gate.  Gold Country Horse Day will be held at the Ed Hughes Arena\, 701 California Highway 124 in Ione\, California.  For more information\, please visit Gold Country Horse Day’s Facebook page or website.
