Experience a heartwarming holiday tale with “The Christmas Foundling,” inspired by Bret Harte’s stories. Set in the California Sierras in 1850, this play follows two miners who unexpectedly become caretakers for an orphaned baby left on their doorstep on Christmas Eve, leading to touching moments and an unlikely romance.

Performances are in the historic Cobblestone Theatre on Fridays and Saturdays from November 8th to December 14th at 7:30 PM, and Sundays from November 17th to December 8th at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $22, with a special rate of $20 for seniors (62+).

Experience the timeless tale of friendship and adventure as the Volcano Theatre Company brings “Charlotte’s Web” to the Volcano Amphitheatre! Watch as all your favorite characters come to life: Wilbur, the pig; Fern, the young girl who understands animals; Templeton, the rat; the Zuckerman family; and, of course, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Kennedy Gold Mine, Plymouth, and Terra D’Oro Winery performances.  Up to 200 free meals from the Amador Senior Center with Laughton Ranch Catering will be available at the other venues.

Get in the spirit with this holiday season with the Volcano Theatre Company for their production of If It’s Monday, This Must Be Christmas.  Wise cracks and plot twists will fly faster than Santa’s sleigh in this yule-tide whodunit.  From their website:

It’s Christmas and Harry Monday, down-and out gumshoe, is short of cash as usual. When Harrigan’s department store has its payroll stolen, Harry is called to find the culprit, and the store’s missing Santa Claus! What can a flatfoot do to find the felons?

If It’s Monday, This Must Be Christmas is written by Pat Cook and directed by Dana Hein.  The production will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November 18th through December 18th, 2022.  The play will start at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and Sunday matinees will begin at 2 pm.

Becky’s New Car

Volcano Theatre Company presents Becky’s New Car, a comedy about the nature of love, fidelity, and second chances.

Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn’t dare.

Becky’s New Car is written by Steven Dietz and directed by Paula Bibby.  Becky’s New Car will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 2nd through October 8th.  The play will start at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays.
