Celebrate the beginning of the weekend this summer with free outdoor concerts for the whole family.  The Amador County Arts Council will celebrate their 23rd year of the Thank God It’s Friday (T.G.I.F.) Summer Music Series.  Each Friday, starting July 16, from 6pm until dusk, Amador Arts will present a free concert and a variety of the magnificent venues around Amador County.  Bring a picnic, law chairs, and your friends and enjoy some of the best local bands covering rock, country, folk, Americana, and more.  The full schedule is below. Summer Music Series.  Each Friday, starting June 9th, from 6 pm until 8 pm, Amador Arts will present a free concert and a variety of the magnificent venues around Amador County.  Bring a picnic, law chairs, and your friends and enjoy some of the best local bands covering rock, country, folk, Americana, and more.  The full schedule is below.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Kennedy Gold Mine, Plymouth, and Terra D’Oro Winery performances.  Up to 200 free meals from the Amador Senior Center with Laughton Ranch Catering will be available at the other venues.

Ride with Santa

Come up to Pioneer on Sunday, December 18th to take a ride with Santa. Santa Claus will be out at Sierra Yard Supply & Equipment in Red Corral taking pictures with kids. There will also be the opportunity to go for a ride on a fire engine.

Pioneer Santa Cruise

Santa is back cruising Upcountry Amador County in 2022 bringing holiday cheer to all. Santa will be making two stops in Pioneer this year. On December 16th, he’ll be at the Ranch House Estates, Gayla Manor, and Homestead neighborhoods. On December 17th, not only will be he be joining in to the Mace Meadows Light Parade, but he will be hitting Meadow and Sugar Pine Drives as well. Be sure to come out and wave to Santa!

Halloween season is popping in Amador County.  Amador Rec presents their terrifying Halloween Haunted House on the second and third weekends in October.  This annual haunt is located at the Pioneer Veteran’s Hall in Pioneer and is sure to scare you to your bones.   Tickets to enter the haunt are $5 or you can get a punch card for $10 for five times through the haunt.  Doors opens at 5 pm and the Haunted House will terrorize you till 8 pm.

Haunted House dates are October 7th and 8th and the 14th and 15th.  The Pioneer Veteran’s Hall is located at 25100 Buckhorn Ridge Road in Pioneer, California.  Have questions?  ACRA is dying to answer them.  Call them at 209-223-6349.
