Cannonball Run Car Show

The Volcano Community Association (VCA) presents the 28th Annual Cannonball Run Car Show on July 2nd in Volcano.  Cannonball Run features some of the best classic cars from folks in and around Amador County.  From 6:30 to 9 am, the show cars will line up along Main Street and Consolation Street.  From 7 to 9 am there will be a community breakfast.  Breakfast tickets are $10 and you can pay at the door.  Starting at 10 am, the Independence Day Parade will begin followed by a raffle drawing and awards at noon.

St. Sava Mission Foundation’s Independence Day Celebration

Come celebrate Independence Day at the St. Sava Mission & Retreat Center in Jackson, California.  St. Sava Mission Foundation’s Independence Celebration will feature authentic Serbian food, dancing, swimming and music.  Live music both days will be provided by Orkestar Srbija.  This is a fun, family-friendly event!

The Independence Day Celebration will take place on both Saturday, July 3rd and 4th from 11:00 am to 1:00 am.  The entrance fee is $20 for adults, 18 years of age and older, $10 for teens, ages 12 – 17, and $5 for youth, 11 and under.  This entrance fee covers both dats.  Meals will be available for purchase.  Lunch will be served 1 to 3 pm, dinner from 6 to 8 pm, and late night from 9 to 11 pm.

The St. Sava Mission & Retreat Center is located at 604 Mission Blvd. in Jackson.  The Independence Day Celebration benefits the St. Sava Mission Foundation, Stewards of the Legacy Since 1962.  For questions, email info@stsavamissionfoundation.org.

Jackson Independence Day Fireworks and Picnic

July 3, 2023 @ 6:00 pm 10:00 pm

The Jackson Lions Club present’s their annual 3rd of July traditional family picnic and fireworks show for the public on Aimee Baseball Field at Detert Park in Jackson, California.  The Picnic will feature family games, bingo, a soda and snack bar, raffles for great prizes such as bicycles.  Then when it gets darks, the Lions Club presents an amazing fireworks extravaganza over the skies of Jackson. 

The fireworks are launched from Jackson Jr. High School, but because of safety, no members of the public are allowed.  However, the fireworks will be able to viewed from Detert Park and from other parts of Highway 49 and Main Street in Jackson.  Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

The Picnic activities kick off at 6 pm on the baseball field and fireworks usually start launching at 9:30 pm  For more information, please visit the information page on the Jackson Lions Club.

Detert Park is located at on Highway 49 between the Metal Zoo and Sutter Street in Jackson.

Plymouth 4th of July Parade

Celebrate the birth of the United States with residents of Plymouth.  On July 4th at 10:00 am, the City of Plymouth will host their annual 4th of July Parade down Main Street.  The parade features trucks, tractors, and trikes.  There are no entry fees.  If you would like to participate in the parade, assemble on Sherwood Street before 10:00 am.
