Join us for a memorable evening at the 2nd Annual Purple Tie Gala on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 6 PM to 10 PM at the Italian Picnic Grounds in Sutter Creek. This special event supports Operation Care’s vital services and features a no-host bar, exciting live and silent auctions, and a raffle—all benefiting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Amador County. Dress boldly and stand out—this event is all about our catchy purple tie waiters, who will serve you with flair! Don’t forget, tips are highly encouraged to benefit this great cause.

Guests will be treated to a unique dining experience as Amador County Celebrity Waiters serve you throughout the evening. Tickets are $100 per person or $700 for a table of 8. Proceeds directly support Operation Care’s student scholarships and community programs.

Sutter Creek Shrimp Feed

On Saturday, June 17th, the Native Sons of the Golden West #17 is sponsoring an all-you-can eat shrimp feed to raise funds for the historic Sutter Creek Grammar School. Enjoy unlimited plates of shrimp, pasta, salad, and bread while helping to raise money to preserve this historic site. Bring your bucks as there will also be a dessert auction, raffle, and no-host bar.

The Sutter Creek Shrimp Feed will be held at the Native Sons of the Golden West Hall at 56 Main Street in Sutter Creek. The Feed will run from 5 to 9 pm.

Empty Bowls

The Interfaith Food Bank of Amador County presents Empty Bowls, a fundraiser to support the work of the Interfaith Food Bank to help the hungry of Amador County. Empty Bowls will take place at the Italian Picnic Grounds on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. From the Interfaith Food Bank’s website:

This humble, community-based event is a reminder of the hungry among us. Each bowl represents someone in need of our help, so come share soup provided by the generosity of local restaurants!

Tickets for Empty Bowls are $25. Ages 12 and under are $10. Tickets are available at the Food Bank located on Airport Rd., the Thrift Store located in the Sutter Hill Plaza Shopping Center, and online at feedamador.org.

Band Against Cancer

Band Against Cancer is an annual event that raises money for Amador STARS, a non-profit based right here in Amador County that provides support, transportation, and other resources for those that are dealing with cancer. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at the Italian Picnic Grounds in Sutter Creek, California.

The event will feature live music from local bands including The Boxhorns, Triple Threat, Mike Rolf, Teal Wheels, and The Blowbacks.  Also on hand, dunk your local firefighters in a dunk tank.  There will be a Paint n’ Sip, luminary ceremony, as well as jewelry, weaving demonstration, corn hole tournament, quilt show, and so much more.  And don’t forget all the great food available for purchase from local restaurants and caters including Wing It, Ione Tacos, Coffee Tree, and She’s So Charcuterie.

In addition, there will also be a special event called Sip & Taste with the STARS from 3 to 6 pm where you’ll have the opportunity to try small bites and local Amador wines & brews.  Tickets for the Sip & Taste are $30 per person and you must be 21 years of age or older.

Amador Football Kickoff & Fundraiser

Celebrate local youth athletics with the kickoff and fundraiser for the Amador High School Buffaloes Football.  The Native Sons of the Golden West Amador 17 present a tri-tip BBQ and No-host bar on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 to raise funds for the Team.  Tickets are $50 each and, to really support the Team, purchase a VIP Table for $1,000.

Cioppino Dinner

The Volcano Consolidated Masonic Lodge No. 56 will be presenting their fundraising Cioppino Dinner on Saturday, April 16, 2022.  Cioppino is a fish stew originating in San Francisco. The dish is a combination of fresh seafood, vegetables, and a tomato-based broth.   Come eat the best Cioppino around and support the Masonic Lodge.  All of the proceeds from the event will go towards local scholarships and the Masons philanthropic work.

The Cioppino Fundraising Dinner will take place at the Armory Hall, located at 21349 Consolation Street in Volcano, California.  A social will begin at 5 pm and dinner will start at 6.  Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased by contacting Greg at 209-482-3352 or by email at VolcanoConsolidated56@gmail.com.

Ryan Gillaspie for Sheriff

Ryan Gillaspie for Sheriff will hold a meet and greet and fundraising BBQ at the Sizemore Country Store in Volcano on Saturday, April 9, 2022.  The BBQ lunch will feature all the fixings including ribs, chicken and salad.  There will also be live music and a silent auction.  The meet and greet will begin at 1 pm.
