Dad & Me ~ Stay ‘N Play!

Calling all dads, uncles and grandpas for fun activities for children ages 0 to 5 years old!  On Saturday, October 29th, 2022 from 10:00 – 12:00 pm, come and play at First 5 Amador’s Outdoor Learning Lab.  The Outdoor Learning Lab has a lot to offer with a sandbox, water table, bike bath, and garden.  This month it’s time for pumpkin themed messy play!  When you come by, the Dad and Me team also has a free children’s book for your kids to enjoy and you can pick some veggies from the garden!

Dads, grandpas, etc. do not need to be present to pick up a kit.  Supplies are limited, and are available to Amador County children on a first-come, first-served basis. One kit per Amador County child, aged 0-5.

25th Annual Celebrate Our Children

April 22, 2023 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

On Saturday, April 22nd, the Amador Child Care Council will present the 25th Annual, Celebrate Our Children.  This enriching event brings fun and healthy activities for kids of all ages.  This year’s theme is 25 Ways of Outdoor PLAY.  At the festival will be entertainment acts, fun games and activities, a free lunch, and a petting zoom.  They’ll also be a reptile display, car seat check and service vehicle tours.  The Cowabunga Ice Cream Truck will be there as well.  And don’t forget the visit from Chewy the Tooth!

Celebrate Our Children will take place on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Argonaut High School in Jackson.  Argonaut High School is located at 501 Argonaut Lane in Jackson, California.  For more information, please call the Amador Child Care Council at (209) 283-0844

Dads/grandpas, etc. do not need to be present to pick up a kit. Playground will be open for free play, with parent supervision. Supplies are limited, and are available to Amador County children on a first-come, first-served basis. One kit per Amador County child, aged 0-5.

Family, Friend & Neighbor ‘Busy Bags’ Curbside Pick-up

Are you a relative, friend, or neighbor caring for someone else’s young children (nonlicensed)?  On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, pick up your FREE BUSY BAG filled with supplies, and a children’s book, needed to create your own Nocturnal Animals-based activities fun with the children in your care! This free activity kit is filled with supplies needed to create chalk art-themed fun!  This also includes a free children’s book, for your kids to enjoy!
