Celebrate Christmas in Sutter Creek’s annual interfaith process of Las Posadas.  Las Posadas is a reenactment of the journey of Mary and Joseph to the manger for the birth of Jesus.  The Procession begins in front of the Immaculate Conception Mission Church on Spanish and Amelia Streets, winds down Spanish Street, and then proceeds down Main Street until the United Methodist Church.  There a crèche is set up for a live Nativity scene.  Along the procession will be Christmas carols and the story of Christmas.  Cookies and hot beverages will be served in the social hall of the United Methodist Church following Las Posadas.  Children are welcome to participate as a shepherd, angel, or animal (or may bring a stuffed animal).  Las Posadas begins at 6:00 pm.
