The Nativity Play Goes Wrong!

Join the Cornerstone Church of Ione for their annual dinner theatre.  This year’s production is “The Nativity Play Goes Wrong!,” a play by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayers, and Henry Shields and adapted by Jim Garfinkle.  The Nativity Play Goes Wrong! will be presented over five evenings between December 14th through the 18th.  Doors open at 5:30 pm and the event begins at 6 pm with dinner being served.  Seating is first come, first served.  Dinner will be Chicken Scallopini, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and dessert.

Tickets for the production are $25 for adults and $12 for kids.  Wednesday, December 15th will be Kids Night.  On Kids Night, adult tickets will be $16 and kid tickets will be just $10.  Kids Night will be a little more informal and pizza will be served as the main course. Jackson Main Street will host several activities this Christmas season to help you stuff those stocking and help Amador County businesses by shopping local.

Kick off your holiday shopping by showing your love for local businesses by wearing plaid.  Plaid Friday is a nationwide celebration as is an alternative to Black Friday.  Plaid Friday encourages people do their holiday shopping with locally owned and independent businesses the day after Thanksgiving.

On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Christmas Delights will take over the town for Small Business Saturday.  In additional to all the wonderful shops that will be open, cruise down Main Street on a nostalgic carriage ride, pick up some homemade goodies at the craft fair, get the kiddos faces painted, and stick around for the town tree lighting and have a photo with Santa.  Tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, get ready to celebrate Christmas with Main Street Movie Night.  Join your fellow revelers with a family-friendly holiday movie.  Hot drinks and snack bar will be available.  Free entry with purchase receipt from one of the Main Street vendors or for a nominal donation.

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, there will be candlelight caroling up and down Main Street.  Sing your hearts out while you celebrate in holiday cheer.  Caroling will begin and end at the newly reopened National Hotel.

Help for the Holidays

On Saturday, December 11th from 1 to 4 pm, join the Plymouth Community Church as they present Help for the Holidays, a free shopping event for families in need for Christmas.

The Church will provide gifts and toys, stuffed Christmas stockings, gift baskets, hand made items, wrapping supplies, cosmetics, and toiletries.  In addition, the Church’s food bank will be providing Christmas Dinners.  And don’t miss the raffle where many wonderful items will be available and you do not need to be present to win.
