Miwok Stories Night

The Amador Senior Center invites you for a special presentation of the stories and storytelling of the Native peoples of our area. Miwok storytelling is an art passed down through time immemorium. The stories you will hear during Miwok Stories Night would be told from village to village in the roundhouse, the traditional ceremonial gathering place in each community. Come hear the stories passed down through generations.

Miwok Stories Night will take place Friday, June 16th, 2023 beginning at 6 pm at the Amador Senior Center. The Center is located at 229 New York Ranch Road in Jackson, California.

The presentation is free to attend and all are welcome.

Miwok Stories Night is sponsored by the Miwok Heritage Center and is funded by a grant from the 7th Generation Fund.

Sheriff Candidate Town Hall Meet & Greet

The Amador Senior Center and Amador County Commission on Aging invite you to a town hall meet and greet.  Come meet the three candidates for Amador County Sheriff: Ryan Gillaspie, Gary Redman, and Patrick Weart.  Here is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have.  The Meet & Greet will take place on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at the Amador Senior Center.

Cabaret Dinner Show Fundraiser

Amador Senior Center and AmadorArts welcome you out for an elegant evening of fun at the Cabaret Dinner Show.   Nationally known burlesque performer Rosie 151 will be performing cabaret classics. In additional to live cabaret performances, the Dinner Show will feature a five-course ribeye steak dinner with dessert, no-host bar, live and silent auction, and door and raffle prizes.

The Cabaret Dinner Show will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2022.  Tickets will go on sale January 12th.  Tickets are $100 per person.  Grab your tickets while you can.  Only 120 tickets will be released for this adult-only event and the Cabaret Dinner Show is sure to sell out.  To purchase tickets, please visit the Amador Senior Center / Amador Arts at 229 New York Ranch Road in Jackson or visit KVGC Radio, also in Jackson.  The Cabaret Dinner Show will be held at the Amador Senior Center / Amador Arts Council building at 229 New York Ranch Road in Jackson, California.
