Kong’s Night Out

Main Street Theatre Works presents their 2021 Summer Season performances at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre in Jackson, California.  On Fridays and Saturdays from June 18th through July 17th, 2021, Main Street Theatre Works will present Kong’s Night Out, written by Jack Neary and directed by Allen Pontes.

From Main Street Theatre Works’ website:

This is the story of what happened in the hotel room, next to the hotel room where Ann (played by Fay Wray in the 1933 movie) was whisked out into the Manhattan night by King Kong. As low-end Broadway producer Myron Siegel is getting ready to open his latest production, Foxy Felicia, Myron finds out that his rival is going to open, directly across the street, a very big show, with a very big monkey! As the story unfolds, doors fly open and slam shut, as well as mistaken identities, pies in the face, deceit, underhandedness, and even a couple of romances. It’s a comic look at a classic story, as depicted in the 1933 movie.

Gates open at 6:30 pm and the show begins at 8:00 pm.  Advanced tickets are only available at Main Street Theatre Works’ website at mstw.org/shop.  Tickets are also available at the gate.

The Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located at the Kennedy Goldmine, 1127 North Main Street in Jackson.  For more information, please contact Main Street Theatre Works at 209-295-4499 or visit their website at mstw.org.  You can also check out Main Street Theatre Work’s Facebook page by clicking here.
