The Amador Child Care Council (ACCC) is a collaborative body dedicated to advancing affordable, accessible, and high-quality child care throughout Amador County. We work closely with community partners to promote early care and education, supporting the well-being and success of all children, strengthening families, and contributing to the economic vitality of our communities.
As part of a state-mandated network of Local Child Care Planning Councils funded by the California Department of Education, the ACCC conducts county-wide child care needs assessments and develops strategic plans to address local priorities. In accordance with state guidelines, we strive to ensure that our council reflects the ethnic, racial, and geographic diversity of Amador County.
We envision an inclusive child care system where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Our commitment to equity, quality, and accessibility guides all of our work.
The ACCC holds monthly public meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM, excluding July and August. We invite anyone interested in child care issues to attend and participate. Meetings are held at the Amador County Unified School District office, located at 217 Rex Avenue, Jackson, CA 95642.
