SUMMARY:Young Guns Roughstock Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Young Guns Roughstock Challenge comes to Ed Hughes Arena in Ione on Saturday\, September 5\, 2026\, for an evening of rodeo action\, local events\, live music\, and community fun. \n\n\n\nThe roughstock portion will feature calf riding\, steer riding\, and bull riding. Local events include 2-man teams\, wild cow milking\, and calf dressing\, with buckles awarded to winners. Guests can also enjoy a Pig Scramble with three age groups: 10 and under\, 11 to 15\, and 16 and up. All Pig Scramble proceeds benefit Ione Elementary’s 5th Grade Science Camp. \n\n\n\nLive music by Clint Stremcha will take place in the arena after the rodeo. \n\n\n\nThe Young Guns Roughstock Challenge takes place Saturday\, September 5\, 2026\, at 6 PM at Ed Hughes Arena\, 600 South Church Street in Ione\, CA. \n\n\n\nTo enter local events\, text 209-663-3434.
