SUMMARY:Bedbug Challenge 5k Color Run
DESCRIPTION:This year\, the Bedbug Challenge has gone County wide.  Help send Amador County 5th and 6th Graders to Science Camp while you get fit and have fun at the Bedbug Challenge 5k Color Run.  The goal is to raise $125\,000 to send 270 students to camp in the spring of 2024.  \nThe Bedbug Challenge begins at the Castle Oaks golf course and winds through the Castle Oaks neighborhood in Ione\, California.  Enjoy 5 color stations plus water and snacks at the finish line.  Participants who register before April 14th receive a free t-shirt. \nThe Bedbug Challenge will take place on Saturday May 13th\, 2023.  Check in begins at 7 am and the race starts at 8.  Entry cost starts at $30 for individuals or $50 for families (up to five…each additional person is $10).  For tickets\, please visit the ticketing page on Brown Paper Tickets.   You can also visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bedbugchallenge

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 13th\, 2023\, A&A Shooters will present their Annual Sporting Clays Shoot.  Adults and youth are welcome.  Come show off how good a shot you are while raising funds for a cause.   Belt buckles will be awarded for top gun\, high male\, female\, and junior.  Awards will also be available for runner-ups and alumni. \n\n\n\nTo participate in the shoot\, 100 targets and lunch will be $85.  CYSSA Youth Shooters can shoot targets only for $40.  There will also be a silent auction and raffle.   \n\n\n\nThe A&A Shooters Annual Sporting Clays Shoot will take place at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve\, 2951 Curran Rd. in Ione\, California. DESCRIPTION:Historic St. Sava Church invites you to come celebrate Serbian culture right here in Amador County at their annual Goat Barbeque on Sunday\, May 28th\, 2023.  St. Sava will host a Divine Liturgy at 10 am followed by food\, fun\, and fellowship with music and a silent auction begins at noon.  The goat buffet luncheon will begin at 1 pm featuring locally-produced spit-roasted goat\, roasted red potatoes\, garlic green beans\, slaw\, locally-baked Serbian bakery bread\, and a dessert buffet.   Water and soft drinks are included.  \n\n\n\nTickets are available in advance at goat-feed-2023.square.site as well as at the door.  Goat Feed tickets are $30 for adult at $20 for teens 13-16.  Kids 12 and under are free.  Tickets for a drink at the wet bar featuring Serbian beer\, pivo wine\, mixed drinks\, and Slivovitz are $5.
