DESCRIPTION:The screams return to Ione this October as the legendary Preston Castle Haunt celebrates 15 years of spine-chilling terror. Known as one of California’s most haunted places and featured on shows like Ghost Hunters\, Ghost Adventures\, and Ghost Asylum\, the Castle transforms once again into a walkthrough haunted house experience unlike any other. \n\n\n\nThis is not a historical tour\, this is a full-on fright fest. The Haunt runs on select weekends in October\, with gates opening at 6:45 pm. General Admission is timed: choose either the 7:00–8:30 pm entry or the 8:30–10:00 pm entry. VIP FastPass tickets allow entry any time from 7:00–10:00 pm and let you skip the long lines. \n\n\n\nTickets are $35 for General Admission and $50 for VIP FastPass. DESCRIPTION:Join the fun and take part in one of Amador County’s longest-running traditions\, the Jug & Rose Walk/Run\, hosted by Amador High Performing Arts. The event includes a 7.7-mile course through the scenic foothills of the Mother Lode and welcomes both walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. \n\n\n\nThe Jug & Rose begins in Volcano.  The non-competitive walk begins at 9:15 a.m.\, the open walk at 9:30 a.m.\, and the run starts at 10 a.m. Ribbons and shirts go to all participants. Awards will be presented to winners of the open walk\, male and female run divisions\, and 10-year age groups. DESCRIPTION:The Knight Foundry\, dubbed “America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop\,” opens it doors every second Saturday for tours of the Foundry.  Come see blacksmiths using antique tools and equipment just as they would have done during the Gold Rush-era.  Learn the history of this shop that did much than just forge metal but that invented and produced mechanical works of wonder that allowed the mining industry to thrive throughout the West.  The Foundry is a special place\, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark and a California Registered Historical Landmark. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry Second Saturday Tours are open from 10 am to 3 pm every Second Saturday of the Month.  Admission is $15 for adults 18 and old\, $5 for students age 5 to 17\, and free for children under 5.  Admission is free for Knight Foundry Alliance members and for members of a museum affiliated with the North American Reciprocal Membership program.  Tickets are sold at the door\, no reservations are necessary. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry is located at 81 Eureka Street in Sutter Creek\, California.  For more information about the Foundry\, please visit their website at knightfoundry.com or contact the Foundry at 209-560-6160 or info@knightfoundry.com.

DESCRIPTION:The Knight Foundry\, dubbed “America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop\,” opens it doors every second Saturday for tours of the Foundry.  Come see blacksmiths using antique tools and equipment just as they would have done during the Gold Rush-era.  Learn the history of this shop that did much than just forge metal but that invented and produced mechanical works of wonder that allowed the mining industry to thrive throughout the West.  The Foundry is a special place\, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark and a California Registered Historical Landmark. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry Second Saturday Tours are open from 10 am to 3 pm every Second Saturday of the Month.  Admission is $15 for adults 18 and old\, $5 for students age 5 to 17\, and free for children under 5.  Admission is free for Knight Foundry Alliance members and for members of a museum affiliated with the North American Reciprocal Membership program.  Tickets are sold at the door\, no reservations are necessary. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry is located at 81 Eureka Street in Sutter Creek\, California.  For more information about the Foundry\, please visit their website at knightfoundry.com or contact the Foundry at 209-560-6160 or info@knightfoundry.com.

DESCRIPTION:The Baker Street Players’ beloved holiday tradition returns with A Christmas Carol\, adapted for the stage and directed by Beth Barnard. Join Ebenezer Scrooge\, Tiny Tim\, and the spirits of Christmas past\, present\, and future in this timeless story of redemption and joy\, brought to life in the newly restored Baker Street West Theatre inside the historic Old Courthouse in Jackson. \n\n\n\nPerformances run Thanksgiving weekend through mid-December (November 28th – December 14th). Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 pm while Sunday Matinees take place at 2 pm. \n\n\n\nThis year’s production marks the debut season of the new Baker Street West Theatrical Society (BSWTS). Tickets are available exclusively to members of the society. \n\n\n\nMembership for 2025 is just $10.
