SUMMARY:Knight Foundry Demonstration Days
DESCRIPTION:The Knight Foundry\, dubbed “America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop\,” opens it doors every second Saturday for tours of the Foundry.  Come see blacksmiths using antique tools and equipment just as they would have done during the Gold Rush-era.  Learn the history of this shop that did much than just forge metal but that invented and produced mechanical works of wonder that allowed the mining industry to thrive throughout the West.  The Foundry is a special place\, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark and a California Registered Historical Landmark. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry Second Saturday Tours are open from 10 am to 3 pm every Second Saturday of the Month.  Admission is $15 for adults 18 and old\, $5 for students age 5 to 17\, and free for children under 5.  Admission is free for Knight Foundry Alliance members and for members of a museum affiliated with the North American Reciprocal Membership program.  Tickets are sold at the door\, no reservations are necessary. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry is located at 81 Eureka Street in Sutter Creek\, California.  For more information about the Foundry\, please visit their website at knightfoundry.com or contact the Foundry at 209-560-6160 or info@knightfoundry.com.

DESCRIPTION:The Knight Foundry\, dubbed “America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop\,” opens it doors every second Saturday for tours of the Foundry.  Come see blacksmiths using antique tools and equipment just as they would have done during the Gold Rush-era.  Learn the history of this shop that did much than just forge metal but that invented and produced mechanical works of wonder that allowed the mining industry to thrive throughout the West.  The Foundry is a special place\, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark and a California Registered Historical Landmark. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry Second Saturday Tours are open from 10 am to 3 pm every Second Saturday of the Month.  Admission is $15 for adults 18 and old\, $5 for students age 5 to 17\, and free for children under 5.  Admission is free for Knight Foundry Alliance members and for members of a museum affiliated with the North American Reciprocal Membership program.  Tickets are sold at the door\, no reservations are necessary. \n\n\n\nThe Knight Foundry is located at 81 Eureka Street in Sutter Creek\, California.  For more information about the Foundry\, please visit their website at knightfoundry.com or contact the Foundry at 209-560-6160 or info@knightfoundry.com.

SUMMARY:Fall Gathering at the Ranch
DESCRIPTION:The Amador Cancer Research Foundation invites you to the Fall Gathering at the Ranch on Saturday\, September 27\, 2025\, from 5:00 to 8:30 pm at Casino Mine Ranch Winery\, located at 10690 Shenandoah Road in Plymouth. This 21-and-over event offers an evening of small plates and elevated appetizers served alongside wine available by the glass or bottle. Guests will enjoy a silent auction\, followed by an exciting live auction led by Auctioneer Justin Trick\, with KCRA’s Tamara Berg serving as the evening’s guest host. \n\n\n\nThe gathering also recognizes the recipient of the 2025 Christine and Helen Landgraf Memorial Fund research grant\, which continues a long tradition of supporting cancer research at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Amador Cancer Research Foundation\, which has funded innovative work in cancer treatment\, diagnosis\, and care for more than 50 years. \n\n\n\nTickets are $100 plus an $8.55 service fee. SUMMARY:Preston Castle Haunt
DESCRIPTION:The screams return to Ione this October as the legendary Preston Castle Haunt celebrates 15 years of spine-chilling terror. Known as one of California’s most haunted places and featured on shows like Ghost Hunters\, Ghost Adventures\, and Ghost Asylum\, the Castle transforms once again into a walkthrough haunted house experience unlike any other. \n\n\n\nThis is not a historical tour\, this is a full-on fright fest. Step into the haunted halls and prepare for encounters with ghosts\, shadows\, and terrors that will leave you breathless. The Haunt runs on select weekends in October\, with gates opening at 6:45 pm. General Admission is timed: choose either the 7:00–8:30 pm entry or the 8:30–10:00 pm entry. VIP FastPass tickets allow entry any time from 7:00–10:00 pm and let you skip the long lines. \n\n\n\nTickets are $35 for General Admission and $50 for VIP FastPass. Food vendors will be onsite to satisfy your hunger\, and exclusive merchandise including T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available.
