SUMMARY:Motherlode Cruise Car Show
DESCRIPTION:Get your leather jacket on\, flip your collar up\, and head on down to the Motherlode Cruise Car Show happening May 20th in Jackson.  The Motherlode Cruise Car Show will\, of course\, feature beautiful vintage cars from all around the Amador County region.  Besides all the great vintage and muscle cars and hot rods\, the Car Show will also feature an art and craft show\, music\, food\, and a raffle.  The Motherlode Cruise Car Show benefits two great causes; Hospice of Amador & Calaveras and Tri-County Wildlife Care. \nThis year’s Motherlode Cruise Car Show is presented by the Amador County Chamber of Commerce.  The Motherlode Cruise Car Show will happen on Historic Main Street in Jackson California on Saturday\, May 20th\, 2023 from 9 am to 4 pm.  There is no cost to attend.   A pre-registration get together will happen from 3 to 7 pm behind Mel’s in Jackson on Friday\, May 19th\, the evening before the car show.  To find out more about the Car Show or the Pre-registration get together\, please call the Chamber at 209-223-0350. \nClassic cars and vendors are wanted.  The pre-registration entry fee for your vehicle\, if received by May 1st\, will be $35.  Entry fee at the door\, if space is available\, will be $40.  There is a limit of 200 entries.  Vendor booths are $10 per space plus a raffle prize donation.  To pre-register\, please visit amadorchamber.com.

DESCRIPTION:Historic St. Sava Church invites you to come celebrate Serbian culture right here in Amador County at their annual Goat Barbeque on Sunday\, May 28th\, 2023.  St. Sava will host a Divine Liturgy at 10 am followed by food\, fun\, and fellowship with music and a silent auction begins at noon.  The goat buffet luncheon will begin at 1 pm featuring locally-produced spit-roasted goat\, roasted red potatoes\, garlic green beans\, slaw\, locally-baked Serbian bakery bread\, and a dessert buffet.   Water and soft drinks are included.  \n\n\n\nTickets are available in advance at goat-feed-2023.square.site as well as at the door.  Goat Feed tickets are $30 for adult at $20 for teens 13-16.  Kids 12 and under are free.  Tickets for a drink at the wet bar featuring Serbian beer\, pivo wine\, mixed drinks\, and Slivovitz are $5. Miwok storytelling is an art passed down through time immemorium.  The stories you will hear during Miwok Stories Night would be told from village to village in the roundhouse\, the traditional ceremonial gathering place in each community.   Come hear the stories passed down through generations. \n\n\n\nMiwok Stories Night will take place Friday\, June 16th\, 2023 beginning at 6 pm at the Amador Senior Center. DESCRIPTION:The Spaghetti Western is back and in-person!  For the past 15 years\, whether in-person or drive-thru for COVID years\, the Spaghetti Western has been raising money for the fabulous work of the Amador Cancer Research Foundation.  This year\, for the 16th annual\, will be no different.  \nThe Spaghetti Western will held on Saturday\, June 17\, 2023 at Cooper Vineyards in Plymouth.  KCRA’s Teo Torres and Tamara Berg will be the MC’s for the evening.  Dinner will feature tri-tip\, spaghetti\, garlic rolls\, salad\, and a dessert.  Wine will be available for purchase at the event.  Entertainment will be provided by the Slade Rivers Band. \nTickets for the Spaghetti Western are $55. A sudden sand storm separates our nomads from their home. Follow our lost as they journey through the desert looking for the oasis. The Tourist\, the Cacti\, the Wanderer and the Sand Spirit are just some of the colorful characters you will meet along the way. An eclectic blend of multi-cultural folklore\, this provocative tale speaks to a thirst for truth in a dry landscape full of ‘misguides’.
