DESCRIPTION:Watch your fingers because Audrey II needs to be fed.  The Amador High School Dance and Musical Theatre presents Little Shop of Horrors\, the hilarious comedy about a flower shop worker who has a chance at fame and love with the help of Audrey II\, a giant\, man-eating plant.   \n\n\n\nThe Dance and Musical Theatre troupe will deliver six performances of Little Shop of Horrors.  They will have previews at 6 pm on Tuesday\, December 13th and Thursday\, December 15th and at 2 pm on December 17th.  Tickets are $5 and $10 for the family. \n\n\n\nThe opening performance is set for Saturday\, December 17th at 6 pm. DESCRIPTION:The Willow Springs School House Restoration Advisory Council will once again be holding their annual fundraising dinner.  Come enjoy great food while supporting the restoration of the Willow Springs (Little Red) Schoolhouse.  The Dinner will feature tri-tip and chicken dinner\, desserts\, silent auction\, and live dessert auction. \nThe Willow Springs Restoration Fundraiser Dinner will take place on April 1st\, 2023 in the Pokerville Hall at the Amador County Fairgrounds.  Doors open at 5 pm.  Tickets are $60 or purchase a table of 8 for $500.  Reserving a table comes with the added bonus of a bottle of wine. \nEven if you cannot make the dinner\, you can still support the Schoolhouse’s restoration.  Donations can be made to the Amador Community Foundation\, c/o Willow Springs Restoration\, P.O. DESCRIPTION:Ione Business and Community Association is sponsoring a shred event on Saturday\, May 6th\, 2023 at Howard Park in Ione.  The Shred Event will take place from 9 am to 1 pm.  Bring your old bank statements\, tax returns\, credit card offers\, and other sensitive paper to be securely shredded safely and securely.  Shredding will cost $20 per banker’s box. \n\n\n\nHoward Park is located at 600 Church Street in Ione\, California.  For more information\, please call the Association at 209-274-2446.

DESCRIPTION:Ione welcomes you back for the 147th annual Ione Homecoming. This wonderful event put on by the Ione Picnic Association highlights the best and brightest of Ione.  The 2023 Homecoming celebration will take place on May 12th and 13th.  A schedule of events will be posted when it is released. \nCurrently\, the Ione Picnic Association is looking for non-food vendors.  Booths will be open on May 12th from 4 to 8 pm and on May 13th from 11 am to 6 pm.  There is a $50 booth fee which covers both days.  Booths will be located at the Ione Howard Park. \nFor an application\, please email IonePicnicAssociation@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Bedbug Challenge 5k Color Run
DESCRIPTION:This year\, the Bedbug Challenge has gone County wide.  Help send Amador County 5th and 6th Graders to Science Camp while you get fit and have fun at the Bedbug Challenge 5k Color Run.  The goal is to raise $125\,000 to send 270 students to camp in the spring of 2024.  \nThe Bedbug Challenge begins at the Castle Oaks golf course and winds through the Castle Oaks neighborhood in Ione\, California.  Enjoy 5 color stations plus water and snacks at the finish line.  Participants who register before April 14th receive a free t-shirt. \nThe Bedbug Challenge will take place on Saturday May 13th\, 2023.  Check in begins at 7 am and the race starts at 8.  Entry cost starts at $30 for individuals or $50 for families (up to five…each additional person is $10).  For tickets\, please visit the ticketing page on Brown Paper Tickets.   You can also visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bedbugchallenge
