DESCRIPTION:As we honor the centennial anniversary of the Argonaut Mine Disaster\, the Main Street Theatre Works will present a dramatic reading of the Gold Fire by Laurence Rutter.  In Gold Fire\, Rutter recreates the disaster and rescue effort by using the miners\, rescuers\, reporters\, and other officials that were there.   The disaster\, still California’s worst mining disaster\, cost the lives of 47 miners. \nThe reading of Gold Fire will take place at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre.  The reading will begin at 8 pm on both Friday\, September 23rd and Saturday\, September 24th\, 2022.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm.  The performance is free but to guarantee yourself a seat\, be sure to pick up tickets ahead of time at the Kennedy Mine gift shop or the Amador County Chamber of Commerce. \nThe Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located outside so please feel free to bring a picnic dinner\, jackets\, blankets\, and chairs.  The Kennedy Mine Foundation will also have wine and been for sale.  Coffee\, water\, and light snacks will be on sale at the MSTW snack bar. \nThe Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located at 1127 North Main Street in Jackson\, California.  The Chamber of Commerce is located at 40 N. DESCRIPTION:One of the truly great experiences of Amador County\, especially if you have kids\, is the Saturday Trick or Treating at the 49er Village RV Resort.  This Plymouth tradition is open to the public and little ghosts\, witches\, and ghouls come from miles around.  But the guests at 49er RV Village have just as much fun by decorating their RVs\, creating haunted houses\, and making sure their is something special for mom and dad as well.  This year Halloween will be all October long with expanded trick or treating on each Saturday in October.  Trick or treating is from 6 to 8 pm and no vehicle traffic is allowed in the park during this time.  Admission is still just $5 or a bag of candy. \nThe 49er RV Village Resort is located at 18265 California Highway 49 in Plymouth\, California.  For more information please call the Resort at 209-245-6981
