DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the beginning of the weekend this summer with free outdoor concerts for the whole family.  The Amador County Arts Council celebrates their 25th year of the Thank God It’s Friday (T.G.I.F.) DESCRIPTION:Band Against Cancer is an annual event that raises money for Amador STARS\, a non-profit based right here in Amador County that provides support\, transportation\, and other resources for those that are dealing with cancer. SUMMARY:Gold Fire
DESCRIPTION:As we honor the centennial anniversary of the Argonaut Mine Disaster\, the Main Street Theatre Works will present a dramatic reading of the Gold Fire by Laurence Rutter.  In Gold Fire\, Rutter recreates the disaster and rescue effort by using the miners\, rescuers\, reporters\, and other officials that were there.   The disaster\, still California’s worst mining disaster\, cost the lives of 47 miners. \nThe reading of Gold Fire will take place at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre.  The reading will begin at 8 pm on both Friday\, September 23rd and Saturday\, September 24th\, 2022.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm.  The performance is free but to guarantee yourself a seat\, be sure to pick up tickets ahead of time at the Kennedy Mine gift shop or the Amador County Chamber of Commerce. \nThe Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located outside so please feel free to bring a picnic dinner\, jackets\, blankets\, and chairs.  The Kennedy Mine Foundation will also have wine and been for sale.  Coffee\, water\, and light snacks will be on sale at the MSTW snack bar. \nThe Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre is located at 1127 North Main Street in Jackson\, California.  The Chamber of Commerce is located at 40 N. SUMMARY:Chaw'se Big Time Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Ione Band of Miwok Indians invite you to come and celebrate the Acorn Harvest season at the Chaw’se Big Time Celebration.  This year’s Big Time will beheld on September 24th\, 2022 from 10 am to 4 pm at Chaw’se Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park in Pine Grove.  At the Big Time you’ll find Native American art\, crafts\, and jewelry.  Come get delicious Indian tacos and fry bread.  There will also be traditional Native American dancers and a handgame tournament. \nThe Chaw’se Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park is located at 14881 Pine Grove-Volcano Road in Pine Grove\, California.  A $5 State Parks Day Use Fee will be charged for entry.  For more information\, please contact the Ione Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Office at 209-245-5800.
