The event runs from 9 AM to 3 PM\, with the ride departing at 10 AM. DESCRIPTION:Join the fun and take part in one of Amador County’s longest-running traditions\, the Jug & Rose Walk/Run\, hosted by Amador High Performing Arts. The event includes a 7.7-mile course through the scenic foothills of the Mother Lode and welcomes both walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. \n\n\n\nThe Jug & Rose begins in Volcano.  The non-competitive walk begins at 9:15 a.m.\, the open walk at 9:30 a.m.\, and the run starts at 10 a.m. Ribbons and shirts go to all participants. Awards will be presented to winners of the open walk\, male and female run divisions\, and 10-year age groups. Special awards recognize the youngest and oldest participants\, best theme group\, and even best and worst dressed. \n\n\n\nEarly registration is $25 and closes Friday\, October 24. Race-day registration is $30. SUMMARY:5th Annual Poppy Pedal
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 27\, 2025\, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM\, the 5th Annual Poppy Pedal invites riders of all ages and skill levels to gather in Amador City for a relaxed cycling event that winds through scenic backroads and historic spots. Participants can choose between a short\, family-friendly route of around three miles or a longer option of roughly twenty miles\, with both routes offering a mix of paved and dirt roads. Mountain or gravel bikes are encouraged due to occasional bumpy terrain\, though road bikes are still welcome. \n\n\n\nRiders set off rain or shine and are asked to sign a waiver on the day of the event; a suggested donation of ten dollars helps support local trail stewardship. Bike rentals and tune-ups will be available on-site for those who need them\, and a lighthearted Poppy Pedal Poker Run will add an extra element of fun as participants collect cards along the route for a chance at a small prize.
