DESCRIPTION:The Jackson Lions Club invites families to celebrate Halloween at the annual Children’s Halloween Parade on October 31st\, a local tradition since 1965. \n\n\n\nChildren from preschool through 8th grade are welcome to join the parade and participate in the costume contest. Each grade level winner will receive a $25 prize\, and there’s a special grand prize for the best theme costume group: a one-year Republic Services garbage service valued at $750. \n\n\n\nGather before the parade on Main Street in Jackson for costume judging at 5:30 pm. Attendees will meet the build leads\, review safety guidelines\, and tour the castle at 2:00 PM or 3:30 PM to see where their ideas could take shape. DESCRIPTION:If it’s October in Ione\, it’s time to be terrified at the Preston Castle Haunt. This year\, step into a haunting 1920s traveling circus theme\, where the malevolent Ringmaster prowls the eerie halls of Preston Castle. With three stories of chills and thrills\, this haunted adventure promises to scare you senseless! \n\n\n\nThe Haunt runs on Fridays and Saturdays in October beginning October 11th.  General Admission tickets for the Haunt are $35\, and VIP FastPass tickets are $50 (skip the long lines). On October 11th only\, tickets are $30. \n\n\n\nThe Haunt is located at the Preston Castle\, 900 Palm Drive in Ione. Gates open at 6:45 PM\, and walk-through times run from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM or 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. VIP tickets are valid for any time between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. \n\n\n\nThis experience is not recommended for younger children\, as it’s designed to be extremely intense.
