DESCRIPTION:The Laughton Ranch Event Center presents Music at the Ranch\, a country music concert series showcasing the best local country acts\, this summer.   \n\n\n\nShows start at 5 pm with free line dancing lessons.  A wonderful BBQ dinner with a rotation of such favorites as BBQ tri-tip\, BBQ chicken\, cowboy beans\, garlic bread\, and green salad will be served at 6 pm.  The music starts at 7.   \n\n\n\nTickets are available for music only for $20 and $40 for music and BBQ. DESCRIPTION:Woodpecker Hill presents Anya Hinkle and Billy Cardine at the Fiddletown Community Center on Monday\, November 14th\, 2022.   Anya Hinkle brings an award-winning\, powerful blend of country\, folk\, and Americana music to the stage. \nFrom her website: \nBorn in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia\, Anya’s music is steeped in the tones of folk and bluegrass and seasoned by travels across the world with her vivid storytelling\, vibrant musicianship\, and arresting honesty. \nShe began her recording career in 2007 with an album called Old Time Duets for the Virginia heritage label\, The Crooked Road\, before moving to Asheville\, NC\, where she founded the bands Dehlia Low (Rebel Records) and Rellico (Organic Records). Anya released the first full-length album under her own name\, Eden and Her Borderlands\, in July 2021 on Organic Records. She won the Merlefest Chris Austin song contest and was a finalist in the Hazel Dickens songwriting competition in 2019 for her song “Ballad of Zona Abston” and was runner-up in the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2022 for her song “Hills of Swannanoa.” \nAnya tours regionally and nationally all over the us as well as extensively in Japan and Europe. She has played stages at Merlefest\, Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival\, La Roche Bluegrass Festival (France)\, Bristol Rhythm & Roots\, and has supported/performed with Mipso\, John Doyle\, Malcolm Holcombe\, the Stray Birds and many others. SUMMARY:Fiddlers Jam
DESCRIPTION:Once again Fiddletown is “Taking It To The Street” to celebrate their namesake\, the fiddle.  Come out to historic Fiddletown\, California for the 71st Annual Fiddler’s Jam.  The Fiddlers’ Jam will be held on September 17th\, 2022 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.  This is one of the only free fiddlers jams in the entire nation.  Multiple stages will feature bluegrass bands\, open mic\, and acoustic jam sessions.  Bring your strings so you too can participate.\n\nIn addition to the music\, the will be a complete street festival with artisan crafts\, award-winning wine\, microbrew beer\, as well as country BBQ.  As Fiddletown is a historic mining town\, there will be gold-rush era building tours available as well.\n\nThe Fiddlers’ Jam is free to enter but parking is limited so please share a ride.  There will be parking available a block away.  For more information\, please visit fiddletowncc.org or send an email to info@fiddletowncc.org.

SUMMARY:Band Against Cancer
DESCRIPTION:Band Against Cancer is an annual event that raises money for Amador STARS\, a non-profit based right here in Amador County that provides support\, transportation\, and other resources for those that are dealing with cancer. This year\, the event will be held on Saturday\, September 10th\, 2022 at the Italian Picnic Grounds in Sutter Creek\, California.  \nThe event will feature live music from local bands including The Boxhorns\, Triple Threat\, Mike Rolf\, Teal Wheels\, and The Blowbacks.  Also on hand\, dunk your local firefighters in a dunk tank.  There will be a Paint n’ Sip\, luminary ceremony\, as well as jewelry\, weaving demonstration\, corn hole tournament\, quilt show\, and so much more.  And don’t forget all the great food available for purchase from local restaurants and caters including Wing It\, Ione Tacos\, Coffee Tree\, and She’s So Charcuterie. \nIn addition\, there will also be a special event called Sip & Taste with the STARS from 3 to 6 pm where you’ll have the opportunity to try small bites and local Amador wines & brews.  Tickets for the Sip & Taste are $30 per person and you must be 21 years of age or older. \nBand Against Cancer will take place on September 10th from 9 am to 9 pm.  Admission is free and so is parking.  For more information or to purchase tickets for Sip & Taste with the STARS\, please visit amadorstars.org or call 209-267-1246
