DESCRIPTION:The Farms of Amador and Amador Farmers Market present the annual Farm Tour & Dinner\, a fundraising tradition that highlights the agricultural richness of Amador County. Spend the day exploring local farms\, learning about Amador’s agricultural history and future\, and end the evening with a locally sourced dinner prepared by Andy’s Crossover Kitchen at the Amador Flower Farm. \n\n\n\nThe guided farm tours begin with Pansaré Cellars in Sutter Creek\, one of Amador’s only certified organic vineyards\, with tours at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Mount Echo Ranch in Ione\, where six generations have raised high-quality cattle\, also hosts tours at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm\, with a bonus visit to the adjacent Domenico Winery and Goffinet Reservoir. Reigning Bees Apiary in Plymouth opens at 3 pm\, where you can learn about raising bees and harvesting honey. \n\n\n\nAfter the tours\, the day concludes at the Amador Flower Farm with a Farm-to-Fork Dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 pm (gates open at 4 pm). The evening includes live music\, a raffle\, auction\, wine and beer bar\, and a menu featuring seasonal and locally sourced dishes paired with wines from Domenico Winery and Pansaré Cellars. \n\n\n\nTickets are $85 for adults ($75 for FOA Farm Friends) and $15 for children 13 and under. This hands-on class will teach you how and when to prune different types of roses\, what tools are truly needed and how to care for them\, how to train climbing roses for a beautiful display\, and how proper pruning helps roses grow stronger\, healthier\, and bloom more beautifully. Participants are encouraged to bring their own potted roses to practice pruning techniques during demonstrations. \n\n\n\nThe Valentine’s Day Rose Pruning Workshop will be located at the GSA Building located at 12200-B Airport Road in Jackson.
