DESCRIPTION:The UC Master Gardeners of Amador County will offer “Vermicomposting: Building Your Own Worm Bin” on Saturday\, November 7\, 2026\, in Jackson. \n\n\n\nParticipants will learn how to compost with worms\, including which worms to use\, how to feed and care for them\, how to set up and maintain a worm bin\, and how to harvest and use worm castings. The class will also cover ways to build an inexpensive composting bin at home. \n\n\n\nA hands-on option is available for those who would like to build their own worm bin during the class. Advance registration is required for this option\, and the necessary bin\, worms\, and materials will be provided. Food and beverages\, including beer and wine\, will be available for purchase. The film begins at 6 PM and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with members of the cast and crew. \n\n\n\nGeneral admission is $40\, plus online fees\, and includes the self-guided mine tour\, film premiere\, and Q&A.
