SUMMARY:Dad & Me ~ Stay 'N Play!
DESCRIPTION:Calling all dads\, uncles and grandpas for fun activities for children ages 0 to 5 years old!  On Saturday\, October 29th\, 2022 from 10:00 – 12:00 pm\, come and play at First 5 Amador’s Outdoor Learning Lab.  The Outdoor Learning Lab has a lot to offer with a sandbox\, water table\, bike bath\, and garden.  This month it’s time for pumpkin themed messy play!  When you come by\, the Dad and Me team also has a free children’s book for your kids to enjoy and you can pick some veggies from the garden! \nDads\, grandpas\, etc. do not need to be present to pick up a kit.  Supplies are limited\, and are available to Amador County children on a first-come\, first-served basis. SUMMARY:Halloween at 49er Village RV Resort
DESCRIPTION:One of the truly great experiences of Amador County\, especially if you have kids\, is the Saturday Trick or Treating at the 49er Village RV Resort.  This Plymouth tradition is open to the public and little ghosts\, witches\, and ghouls come from miles around.  But the guests at 49er RV Village have just as much fun by decorating their RVs\, creating haunted houses\, and making sure their is something special for mom and dad as well.  This year Halloween will be all October long with expanded trick or treating on each Saturday in October.  Trick or treating is from 6 to 8 pm and no vehicle traffic is allowed in the park during this time.  Admission is still just $5 or a bag of candy. \nThe 49er RV Village Resort is located at 18265 California Highway 49 in Plymouth\, California.  For more information please call the Resort at 209-245-6981

SUMMARY:Preston Castle Haunt
DESCRIPTION:Do you know we have a real haunted castle right here in Amador County?  Be prepared to be frightened beyond belief\, scared senseless\, and have your mind warped at the 2022 Preston Castle Haunt\, weekends in October starting October 14th\, 2022.  This castle is so haunted it was not only featured on “Ghost Hunters” but also “Ghost Adventures\,” and “Ghost Asylum” too!  Don’t come thinking this is a historical tour of the Castle.  This is place for you to get seriously frightened! \nThe Preston Castle Haunt is located at 900 Palm Drive in Ione\, California.  The Haunt opens each evening at 6:45 and has two walk through schedules (7 to 8:30 pm or 8:30 to 10 pm).  Tickets are $35 for General Admission (either time slot) or $50 for VIP (for the whole night).  Tickets will go on sale September 1st and will only be available in advance.  To purchase tickets or for more information\, please visit the Preston Castle Haunt’s webpage.  You can also reach the Preston Castle Foundation at 209-256-3623 or by emailing info@prestoncastle.org.
