SUMMARY:Amador County Fair
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for another wonderful year of entertainment\, exhibits\, animals\, and great food at the Amador County Fair.  The 2022 fair\, aptly titled “Around the World in Four Days\,” will happen between Thursday\, July 28th and Sunday\, July 31st.  Tickets for the fair are $12 for adults ages 13 and older\, $7 for juniors ages 7 to 12\, and $9 for seniors (60 & Over).  Tickets can be purchased at the fairs ticket website or at the gate. \nThe fair will feature a number of ticketed entertainment and cultural events including the 2022 Hot Rod Truck Pulls on July 29th\, a CCPRA Rodeo on July 30th\, and the always popular Destruction Derby on July\, 31st.  Also at the fair will be a wine tasting event and the kid favorite carnival wrist band.  For more information about each and to purchase tickets\, click here. \nOf course\, the fair will also have all the competitions you’ve come to love including creative arts\, fine arts\, photography\, and horticulture.  There will also be animal displays from 4-H\, FFA\, and open divisions.  Amador County Fair also features both a Miss Amador competition and a rodeo queen competition.  And if you have any little wranglers in the family\, you’ll want to make sure they enter the Mutton Bustin’ Competition.  For more information and entry forms\, please visit the Fair’s exhibitor info page at https://amadorcountyfair.com/2022-exhibitor-entry-info. \nThe fair will happen at the Amador County Fairgrounds at 18621 Sherwood Street in Plymouth\, California.  You can learn more about all the happenings for the Fairgrounds by visiting the Fair’s website.  You can also reach the Fair by calling 209-245-6921 or by emailing havefun@amadorcountyfair.com.

SUMMARY:Trivia Night at BG's Louge
DESCRIPTION:The Amador County Recreation Agency (ACRA) presents one of its two\, fun and competitive trivia nights at BG’s Lounge in Jackson every fourth Thursday of the month.  ACRA Trivia Night asks a series of 20 questions in four different categories.  Your team of 2 to 8 people discuss and write down your answer.  After\, score sheets are exchanged with other teams and you get to see which team is the smartest in Amador.  $20 entry fee per team.  Come for the trivia\, raffles\, and great prizes.  Appetizers and drink specials are also available. \nACRA Trivia Night will be on the fourth Thursday of every month and begin April 28th\, 2022.  Future dates include May 26th\, June 23rd\, July 28th\, and August 25th.  Sign-ups for Trivia Night start at 5:30 pm and the trivia begins at 6.  BG’s Lounge is located at 31 North State Highway 49-88 in Jackson\, California.  Located right next to Mel’s Diner. \nFor more information\, please contact Michelle at 209-223-6349 or by email at mdondero@amadorgov.org.  You can check out ACRA’s website at www.goacra.org. \nIf you cannot make Thursday nights\, ACRA offers another trivia night at Hotel Sutter in Sutter Creek.  Check out our listing for that by clicking here.
