The Great Sutter Creek Duck Race

The Great Sutter Creek Duck Race returns to Minnie Provis Park on Saturday, April 26, 2025, turning tranquil Sutter Creek into a fast-moving ribbon of yellow from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hundreds of bright-plumed rubber ducks, each linked to a ticket holder, will launch upstream, then bob and weave toward the finish line in a light-hearted chase that could send the winners home with a share of $5,000 in cash prizes.
Around the water’s edge, the park fills with festival energy including local musicians, food and drink vendors offer everything, and a spread of games and craft stations keeps youngsters busy between heats. The Great Sutter Creek Duck Race is all for a good cause, to support the Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation’s 2025 project to improve the community pool at Amador High School.
Adopting a duck costs $5, or boost your odds with five ducks for $20. Every entry goes directly into the charitable fund. The race course and festivities unfold in Minnie Provis Park, 71 Church Street, Sutter Creek, CA 95685.
