Scots Candlelight Walk

Join the Mother Lode Scots and the Volcano community for the annual Scots Candlelight Walk, a beloved Mother Lode tradition since 1980. This festive evening brings together locals and visitors alike to celebrate the season of giving with light, music, and fellowship.
Candles will be handed out in front of Armory Hall starting at 4:30 PM, with the candlelight procession beginning at dusk (approximately 5 PM). Led by bagpipes and flag bearers, participants will walk through Volcano, pausing at the church steps for a Gaelic blessing and a moving rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
Afterward, everyone is invited back to Armory Hall for a warm gathering featuring hot apple cider, homemade soups, stews, bread, and desserts. Enjoy Celtic and Christmas music and performances by Highland dancers as the evening continues.
