The City of Ione’s firefighters and their families are getting into the holiday spirit! On seven evenings this holiday season, Santa and the Ione Fire Department will be bring Christmas Joy to the neighborhoods of Ione. They’ll be handing out candy canes and blaring Christmas music from their firetrucks. The Candy Cane Santa begins at 6 pm each night and will be rescheduled if raining

Here are the dates and the Candy Cane Santa route:

• Sunday, December 4th – Wildflower and the southeast side of Ione
• Monday, December 5th – West Ione – Marlette & Castle Park
• Tuesday, December 6th – Castle Oaks, Shakeley, 5 Mile Drive, and Olympia Fields
• Wednesday, December 7th – Raymond Drive, Preston, Sutter Lane and Shakeley
• Thursday, December 8th – Edgebrook, Shakeley, and St. Andrews
• Friday, December 9th – Castle Oaks, Pleasant Valley, Fairway, and Vista

On Saturday, December 10th, the Candy Cane Santa will visit the Downtown Christmas Parade at 11:00 am.
