Amador County Day

Celebrate history and community at Amador County Day at the historic Kennedy Gold Mine, honoring 30 years of bringing Gold Country history to life. This free event offers family-friendly fun with new displays, interactive experiences, and opportunities to explore the mining grounds and buildings with knowledgeable interpreters.
Enjoy a classic BBQ lunch available from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and take part in hands-on activities like pushing an ore car or panning for gold (panning available for a small fee). A guided trail walk begins at 1:00 PM, giving visitors a deeper look into the Mine’s historic landscape and past.
Admission is free for Amador and Calaveras residents, and all are invited to join in the fun and history on this special community day.
